DSI Initial Grip Drill is designed as a part of a special drilling protocol for the preparation of the initial socket before using the osteotome in the pterygoid bone plate. It is used to penetrate the cortical bone to deliver the initial socket for further socket preparation with an osteotome and larger drills if needed.
The drill has a DLC coating that delivers reduced heat generation and vibration and smoother cutting performance. DLC coating increases the durability of the drill and ensures a longer service life.
